Lamb Ragu
Ingredients
What you need for the salad:
Ground lamb
Cavatappi pasta
Crushed tomatoes
Tomato paste
1 Onion
2 cloves of Garlic
Mushrooms
Olive oil
Salt and pepper
Instructions:
In a pan, add about a tablespoon of olive oil, chopped onion and 2 cloves of garlic. Season with salt and pepper.
Spoon in tomato paste. Stir until the paste is complete mixed in.
Add lamb to the pan and season with cayenne pepper.
Add mushrooms and stir for 10 minutes.
Add the crushed tomatoes.
While the ragu is cooking, add the pasta to salted, boiling water. When perfectly al dente, add the pasta straight to the sauce.
Turn off the heat. Stir and serve.
Top with fresh basil and cheese. Provolone worked surprisingly well.
