Homemade Pickles & a Martini

Ingredients

What you need:

  • Cucumbers (Preferably English Cucumbers)

  • Fresh Dill

  • 1.5 cups of white vinegar

  • Peppercorns

  • Water - 2 cups

  • Sugar - 2 tablespoons

  • 1 tablespoon of salt

  • Mason Jar

  • Optional: Mustard seeds, Peppercorns and garlic.

Instructions:

  1. Rince the cucumbers. If you have large cucumbers, cut them down into strips.

  2. Add the pickles and dill to the jar.

  3. In a pot, add water, vinegar, salt, and sugar. Boil until salt and sugar have dissolved. This is the brine. Taste and add more sugar or salt based on your preference.

  4. Pour the brine over the pickles and close the jar.

  5. Refrigerate for about 48 hours and you’ll have pickles!


 

Tickle Pickle Martini

  • Pickle Juice

  • Vodka

  • Lime Juice

  • A few slices of pickle

Use a shaker to shake all the ingredients with ice.

Garnish with pickles & dill.
